Our Family Support Team has become a central part of school life by bringing our school community together to listen to the people who know our pupils best – their families.

Our most important partnership is the one we have with parents and families who we see as an extension of our school community.  

Our Family Support Team works alongside parents and carers helping them to be actively involved in their child’s education. They are always on hand to support families in whichever way is most useful to them.  Whether families need guidance in accessing additional services, advice on making important decisions about their child’s future or just need a listening ear, our expert and professional team will always do their best to help.

Our support can include helping families fill in forms and write letters, accompanying them on visits and to meetings and signposting them to useful services.

We also run Parents Groups in which we facilitate discussions and workshops on a number of relevant topics such as preparing for change and dealing with behaviours.  It is also a good opportunity for parents to talk amongst themselves and share advice and experiences.

We are always happy to meet parents either at home or at school to talk through specific issues.

 

Free School Meals

If you feel your family may be entitled to free school meals but are unsure how to apply, come and see our Family Workers who will be happy to help you.

Applications can be made online. However, if you do not have access to a computer at home we can arrange an appointment with the Family Workers to give you access to a school computer.

Please come prepared with your National Insurance number and a note of any benefits you may be receiving.
